During their fist month at the University of Viña del Mar, Chile, the students from the University of Arizona, apart from their Spanish Classes, have enjoyed a variety of cultural and recreational activities like visiting the historical city of Valparaíso, or the Capital City, Santiago. Besides, the group of 15 students had the oportunity to enjoy a wonderful horseback riding at the sand dunes and the beach, and visiting Pablo Neruda's house in Isla Negra. Also, during September they had a local "Spring Break" in which they could enjoy the Chile National Celebrations and travel in Chile. During the last "long weekend" (Columbus Day) most of the students went to Mendoza, Argentina, a city which is just6 hours far from Viña del Mar.
