Horseback Riding

On Friday, Oct. 16th 2009, a group of about 20 international students who are part of the Semester and Trimester Programs, went on a “cabalgata” (horseback riding) north of Concon. The students “saddled up” and headed towards the beach! Along the journey, the students crossed streams, grassy fields, oak trees and most of all: sand dunes. Lots of beautiful sand dunes!

The students had a blast! “This wasn’t your typical ‘stroll through the park’ horse ride,” as one student commented. Several times along the way, horses got wild by randomly galloping in long distances to even randomly sitting down in the middle of the trail. By the time students crossed all the sand dunes and reached the beach, many international students chose to either dash away like wild cowboys and cowgirls or stay behind and slowly pace alongside the crashing waves.
