International Students celebrating UVM's Semana Novata
The week of March 23, the International Students went to the University of Viña del Mar’s Semana Novata on Thursday afternoon. The event offered live music, food and dancing.
On Friday, the students went to the main campus of the University to be welcomed by University President, Barham Madaín Ayub, and International Office Director, María Luisa Figueroa. The president expressed his belief in the importance of gaining a global awareness through study abroad. He also said that he hoped the students would make many Chilean friends and enjoy their experience at the University. Two American students also spoke to share their experience at University of Viña del Mar.

The University then presented each student with a gift, and gave a reception with traditional Chilean food, drink, music and dance. Friday afternoon, the international students from the University of Arizona took a tour of the Congress Building.
