English Rescue!

This year, Viña del Mar's 2nd Company Fire Squad is celebrating its 125th anniversary. One of the activities that it is doing to commemorate its anniversary is having their firefighters learn basic and useful English. For this purpose, John-Miguel Mitchell, an International UVM Student, is volunteering as English teacher for the firefighters of Viña del Mar.

In the following weeks, other International Students, who are part of the OIIE-UVM Volunteer and Internship Program, will be teaching English to business professionals and high school students as part of a program by the Chilean Secretary of Education.
